Who We Are
ParkingNearby is a parking discovery and booking marketplace. We connect drivers with independent parking owners and operators. This policy applies to the ParkingNearby website, mobile app, admin tools, support channels, and related services.
Personal Data We Collect
- Account details such as name, mobile number, owner name, and account role.
- Parking and booking details such as vehicles, requested time slots, listing details, owner-declared capacity, approximate and exact location where needed to deliver the service.
- Payment metadata such as Razorpay order, payment, refund, pack, and plan references. Card, UPI, or net-banking credentials are handled by the payment provider, not stored by ParkingNearby.
- Support and dispute data such as enquiries, reports, messages, uploaded evidence, admin notes, device tokens, IP address, and user agent.
- Consent records showing which version of these policies your account accepted and when, together with the app version, the language the notice was shown in, and the IP address and user agent at the time. We keep these so we can demonstrate that consent was given, and we do not use them to profile you or link them to your browsing behaviour.
- Technical data such as app diagnostics, authentication tokens, and security logs needed to keep accounts and listings safe.
Why We Use It
- To create accounts, verify sign-in, show nearby parking, manage listings, bookings, QR sessions, payments, refunds, notifications, and support enquiries.
- To prevent fraud, spam, fake listings, abuse, unauthorised access, and safety incidents.
- To comply with tax, accounting, legal, law-enforcement, and dispute-resolution obligations.
- To improve product quality, support operations, and communicate important service updates.
Consent and Choice
Where consent is required, it must be specific and affirmative. When you accept these policies in the app we store a record of it against your account — the version you accepted and when — so that acceptance survives reinstalling the app and so we can show what you agreed to. You can see your own acceptance history at any time, and the policies remain readable from your profile. You can choose not to provide optional data, but some services may not work without required details such as mobile number, listing location, vehicle details, or booking information. You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of consent through support, subject to legal retention and active booking constraints.
Sharing
- Drivers and owners receive only the details required for a booking, dispute, or navigation flow.
- Admins and support staff access data for operations, safety, refunds, moderation, and compliance.
- Service providers such as hosting, analytics, maps, SMS, push notifications, and payment providers process data only for ParkingNearby service purposes.
- Authorities may receive data where required by law or valid legal process.
Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data only as long as needed for account operation, bookings, payments, tax records, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Account deletion may anonymise or retain limited records where needed for active bookings, payment reconciliation, safety, or statutory compliance.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, credential protection, audit-oriented admin flows, and limited role-based access. No internet service is risk-free, so users should protect their devices and OTPs.
